Spring 2019 —

Pooja makes her way to the Venice-based startup she’s interning for, only to open the office door to a blue eyed, red-cheeked, surfer boy she’s seen just once before, in the depths of Apple Park. She can tell…he recognizes her too.

Simon’s interviewer tells him a Pooja Patel would be making her way into the office today; he pictured a middle-aged desi woman, rushing to get to work in a Tesla after dropping her kids off to school. Imagine his surprise when he sees the woman we all know enter the door.

They spend the day sneaking looks at each other while trying to impress their boss and interviewer respectively. Both go home wishing they had asked each other to hang out that evening.

Summer 2019 —

A swerve, a glance, and a smile. Simon almost runs Pooja over on his bike as they make their way into the office.

Pooja texts her sister, “the LOML almost ran me over with his bike.”

It’s meant to be.

A lunch turns into a trip to Santa Cruz then a weekend in a Napa. Before they know it, summer’s half way over and Pooja’s dad finally gets involved.

“Don’t worry Dad, it’s just a summer fling”

Six years later, here we are celebrating the summer fling turning into a lifetime of love, commitment, and adventures!
